Who I Am
This is Flyrap. <waves> Just a random person with a random website.

If you comment on this site, the data shown in the comments is collected along with your IP address and something called a “browser user agent string” which helps with spam protection. Because I barely know what that is, you can rest assured I’m not going to share it with anyone. Or even care, except to avoid spambots commenting. I do care what you have to say, however. Truly and deeply.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to Gravatar. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
I eat them. Oh, you mean internet-ish cookies?
Well, if you leave a comment on this site you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so you can comment later more quickly and easily later. Most cookies last for a year, but I honestly have no idea how long these will last.
If you visit the login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies will save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will stubbornly persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies are removed. Or so the recommended privacy language assures me.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Short answer: Nobody. Never. Though partners, including my hosting service and WordPress, may have other rules.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. So I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue until I have time to approve them.
For users that register on the website (if any), I also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (though, apparently, you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data stored about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that I erase any personal data and cross your fingers that I can figure out how to do it. This does not include data I’m required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Y’all, I’m just a nobody with a website. I don’t even have data to sell or share and if I did I wouldn’t know where to find it or who to sell it to. If it gets sold, it won’t be from me.
